Welcome to Eldchrist Winery
The word Eldchrist rhymes with "Held, Kissed". After an extensive naming
search, we decided on the term Eldchrist. We made up the word to mean "something
old, meant to last, and worthy of patience, faith, and sacrifice."
We believe that our wines and our winery meet these criteria.

Our winery is the result of a long journey. We have been lifelong wine enthusiasts.
Several years back we started making wine as a hobby. Our wine received
rave reviews from friends, family, and co-workers.
In 2007 we finally saw our opportunity. We found an old farmhouse on the banks
of Big Darby Creek in Plain City, Ohio. The farmhouse was badly in need of
repair. With no experience in remodeling, we took the plunge and after a long
and difficult road, our winery was taking shape.
After nearly 2 years of efforts, we are starting to see the fruits of our labor.
Our first wines are now available for sale. Our House Red and House White
labels show the old farmhouse that we have lovingly restored.
We believe that winemaking is an underserved industry in Central Ohio. Our
vision is to see an entire wine industry in this area. We hope our patience,
faith, and sacrifice with Eldchrist Winery help to begin realizing that vision.
